LEGION SPORTS
To participate in Legion sports you must be a Legion member, with a current membership card.
Where the Sport consists of a Pair or Team the Legion members must be from the same Branch.
These consist of:
- Cribbage Pairs
- Cribbage Senior Pairs
- Cribbage Teams
- Darts Legion
- Darts Senior Mixed
- Darts Mixed
- Shuffleboard Men's & Ladies
- Shuffleboard Mixed & Senior
- 8 Ball Pool Singles
- 8 Ball Pool Doubles
- Euchre
Note: A Senior is a member that is 50 yrs and older
There are 3-4 levels of competition in Legion Sports.
Area Tournament: Our Branch is in Area A, which consists of 13 Legion Branches and 5 Ladies Auxiliary. There is no limit to the number of participants in the Area Tournaments.
District 8 Tournament: Area A and Area B form District 8 of the AB-NWT Command, with a total of 21 Legion Branches and 8 Ladies
Auxiliary's. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place winners from the Area A and the Area B Tournaments proceed to the District 8 Tournament (12 teams total).
AB-NWT Command Tournament: The 1st and 2nd place winners from each District Tournament in the AB-NWT Command will proceed to the AB-NWT Command Tournament.
Dominion Tournament: Only Cribbage Teams, Darts Legion and 8 Ball Pool Doubles proceed to a Dominion Tournament. The 1st place winners of each Provincial/Territory Command Tournament in Canada proceed to the Dominion Tournament.
